Job Title: Business Development ManagerLocation:

Remote based, with a primary focus on promoting the products and services performed at our Houston, TX facility. Secondarily, supporting the commercial growth of our six (6) industrial facilities located in PA, MI, IN, and IL.

Position Summary:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying, developing, quoting, and securing new business opportunities in the thermal processing (heat treat) industry. This role represents the company’s operations and plays a key role in driving sales growth, maintaining client relationships, and supporting strategic initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience in sales and business development will be considered. Industry-specific experience in heat treatment is advantageous.

  • Experience:
  • Demonstrated success in sales, marketing, and business development. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Oil & Gas experience highly desired.

  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with plant operations and equipment capabilities to effectively communicate service offerings to clients.

  • Computer Skills:
  • Proficiency in standard business software applications and CRM systems.

  • Travel Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel extensively within and outside of TX (50% minimum).

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Identify, pursue, and secure (win) new business opportunities in alignment with company goals.
  • Develop, grow, and maintain relationships with clients through regular followup and communication.
  • Conduct market research and stay informed on industry trends via trade journals and reports.
  • Perform approximately 20 sales calls per week, targeting both prospective and current clients.
  • Tracking of all customer touches in the BWTS CRM is a must.
  • Deliver presentations and seminars to educate clients on services and capabilities (solo or in cooperation with other BWTS employees or vendors).
  • Collaborate with internal departments including the Executive Team, technical, quality, operations, and finance throughout the sales cycle.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with production and technical teams to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports including: oWeekly sales activity
  • Monthly forecasts and pipeline updates oQuarterly budget variance reports
  • Annual sales projections
  • Attend and actively participate in sales meetings.
  • Assist in resolving customer claims and concerns in coordination with the General Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
