About the role and team

We are looking for a Sales Development Representative Intern to support us building a strong seller lead pipeline for Catawiki's Collectables business unit. The sales intern will identify, contact and convince sellers to offer quality objects via our platform with a specific focus on Collectables (Books, Coins, Toys, Trading Cards, etc.), and provide prospects with a great onboarding experience. You are going to help us generate sustainable revenue opportunities by opening up conversations with new sellers that the Business Development team will work on to turn them into committed and fast-growing sellers. Your focus areas will be international sellers (Central & Eastern Europe, Nordics) and emerging online sellers across Europe. You will get to learn about the sales function at a marketplace, focused on the early stages of our sellers' journey.

What you'll do
  • Identify, qualify and develop leads through call, email, field visit, fair visit and experts collaboration
    • Identify and reactivate high potential dormants sellers and organic sign-ups
    • Qualify inbound leads by working with data and sales tooling
    • Facilitate a frictionless pre and post-sales experience for new sellers
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with new sellers to expand Collectables seller network
    • In cooperation with experts, quickly learn the important characteristics of categories
  • Select and grow high-potential new sellers and hand them over to the Business Developers
    • Move in sync with Business Developers to develop growth plans for onboarded sellers
Who you are 
  • You are a bachelor/HBO or master student in Business or related studies 
  • You are enrolled at an educational institution in the Netherlands for the entire duration of the internship 
  • Strong sales mindset
  • Problem solving attitude
  • A passion for the online industry or maybe have a collection yourself so that you are able to understand the language of our sellers
  • Familiar with G Suite tools (Google sheet, slides)
  • Fluent in English

The role is based in our Dutch office, in the heart of Amsterdam.
