F/A-18 Airframe Field Service Representative - Defense - Kuwait

Company:

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a F/A-18 Airframe Field Service Representative (FSR) to support the to support the F/A-18 program at Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait.

This is a Long-Term Assignment to Kuwait. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided. Ability to meet international assignment health requirements required. If accompanied, family must also meet international assignment health requirements.

You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers.

Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer needs and/or management requirements.

Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides Support for F/A-18 Airframes and Powerplants Systems to the Kuwaiti Air Force for systems to include but not limited to:
    • engine/airframe interface
    • control surfaces
    • flight control systems including rigging, environmental control systems
    • landing and arresting gear
    • aircraft structures
    • composite repair
    • bleed air
    • hydraulics
    • pneumatics
    • onboard oxygen generating system (OBOGS)
    • egress systems
    • fuels
    • corrosion control
    • secondary power systems
  • Leads technical field support of company products
  • Performs troubleshooting procedures for multiple systems and specialty coverage
  • Resolves maintenance and operational issues
  • Monitors product performance and makes recommendations for resolution of potential issues
  • Analyzes technical data and evaluates maintenance procedures
  • Develops and conducts ad hoc training

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum5 years of experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics & technical publications
  • 5+ years of experience on F/A-18 Hornet Airframes, Hydraulic and Fuel System.
  • 5+ years of experience performing Fault Isolation Troubleshooting on Fuel and Hydraulic Systems.
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, employees must be willing and able (on potentially short notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs. Failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation.
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Failure to relocate will be considered as a resignation.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum 7 years of experience on F/A-18 E/F is desired

Ex-Pat Information:

  • Candidate must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country
  • Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable
  • Employment is contingent on the candidate's ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country
  • Because the candidate selected will be expected to go on an international assignment, the offer will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to obtain clearances from International Health Services and the receipt of a visa/work permit to the country in which he or she will be assigned. These contingencies also apply to any/all family members who may be relocating with the candidate.

Relocation:

Relocation benefits will be provided only to the international assignment.
