Job description

Office Assistants for the Class Deans Office will provide support with the daily duties running our office including but not limited to; office reception, social media, publicizing opportunities and resources for students. As well as, planning and executing events for Class Deans and international Advising. Office Assistants may also be hired to staff our daily Guided Homework Sessions.

Work available: Days; Monday-Friday

Pay rate: $9.70/hr

Number of Positions Available: 3

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Answer phones and greet students, faculty, staff and families visiting the office.

  • Monitor and facilitate daily Guided Homework Sessions to provide support and accountability for students as they complete course work.

  • Assist with the publicity and dissemination of information regarding opportunities to students and faculty on campus via email, flyers, social media, newsletters, etc.

  • Design and distribute flyers.

  • Create and publish content for social media platforms.

  • Help plan and execute Class Dean and International Advising events, including event set-up and clean-up.

  • General office work including: data entry, copying, running errands around campus and other clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Reliability, flexibility, ability to take initiative, adapt to changes in routine and work independently

  • Detail oriented, with a willingness to learn

  • Must have the ability to handle sensitive information with the appropriate discretion

  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral) are required.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills are required, with a strong emphasis on customer service

  • Experience using Google Suite, Canva, and Instagram is required

  • Genuine interest in social media marketing and publicity are a plus

  • Creativity and artistic abilities are a plus
