Project Manager – Land Development


Phoenix or Mesa, AZ


A growing civil engineering consultancy is seeking a Project Manager to oversee land development projects throughout the Phoenix and Mesa markets. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading projects, working directly with clients, and playing a visible role in the continued growth of a high-performing regional team.


You’ll be responsible for managing projects from early planning and design through construction support, while balancing technical execution, client communication, and team leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead land development projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use sites
  • Manage design coordination, permitting, and construction-phase support
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and project stakeholders
  • Direct internal project teams, manage schedules, and maintain project profitability
  • Mentor junior engineers and support the development of future leaders
  • Contribute to business development and long-term firm growth initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
  • 7–10+ years of experience in land development project delivery
  • Proven ability to manage clients, schedules, and budgets simultaneously
