Territory Manager

Arkansas / Oklahoma Based | Covering AR and OK


ECI Talent Partners is working with a well-established manufacturer in the waterworks and underground utility products industry to hire a Territory Manager covering Arkansas and Oklahoma.

This is a strong opportunity for a sales professional with experience in waterworks, industrial, construction, infrastructure, utility products, or distributor-driven sales. The role is focused on growing sales through wholesale distribution, building relationships with engineers and municipalities, identifying project opportunities, and expanding market share across a multi-state territory.


The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, relationship-driven, and comfortable managing a territory independently while staying organized around customers, projects, forecasts, and new business development.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow sales with existing distributor-based accounts
  • Identify, develop, and onboard new distributor relationships
  • Build relationships with distributors, engineers, municipalities, contractors, and utility-focused customers
  • Target and sell project opportunities through distribution partners
  • Maintain an active opportunity and project log
  • Work to gain local and state municipality approvals
  • Support engineering specification approvals
  • Prepare sales goals, forecasts, and territory updates
  • Assist with new product rollouts and market feedback
  • Report product trends, competitor activity, customer needs, and market changes
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory as needed


Qualifications

โ€ข 3+ years of outside sales experience

โ€ข Sales experience in waterworks, industrial, construction, infrastructure, utility products, or building materials preferred

โ€ข Strong networking, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills

โ€ข Comfortable working with distributors, engineers, municipalities, and contractors

โ€ข Ability to manage a territory independently and stay organized with projects and follow-up

โ€ข Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, email, and basic reporting tools

โ€ข High school diploma required, four-year degree preferred

โ€ข Ability to travel approximately 50%, including occasional overnight travel
