Job description

The Operations Manager leads complex operational functions related to account and membership administration, including online account opening, certificates and IRAs, special account roles, and file maintenance. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, audit standards, and internal policies while proactively identifying risks, improving processes, and supporting an exceptional member experience.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:ย 

  • Serves as a subject matter expert for complex account-related issues, providing guidance, resolving escalated matters, and ensuring appropriate outcomes.
  • Oversees account and membership operations and related controls, including online account opening, membership establishment, certificates, IRAs, special account roles, and audit readiness to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance by maintaining adherence to applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
  • Directs file maintenance activities, ensuring member and account records are accurate, complete, and maintained according to established standards.
  • Monitors and mitigates operational risk by identifying control weaknesses, implementing corrective actions, and supporting a strong internal control environment.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives by proactively enhancing processes, increasing efficiency, and improving the member experience.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Work Experience:ย 

  • Three or more years of management or supervisory experience is required.
  • Experience working in credit union operations is preferred.ย 

Education, Licenses, and Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business, organizational management, finance, or in a similar field is required, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, relevant work experience, or military experience is required.ย

  • Must have the ability to prioritize demands from multiple projects
  • Must possess strong data analysis skills
