This is a great opportunity for someone with strong leadership, retail, customer service, and dog care experience who is excited to join an established, successful, and fast-paced business and help continue driving its success. 
This role is ideal for a motivated leader who can confidently manage daily operations, support and develop staff, build strong client relationships, and help guide the continued growth of the business. Candidates should be comfortable working hands-on with dogs while also leading a team and overseeing day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing employees, including hiring, scheduling, coaching, performance management, and day-to-day guidance
  • Delivering and maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Overseeing inventory management, including ordering, merchandising, and distributor relationships
  • Managing budgets, including supplies, payroll, utilities, and other operational expenses
  • Supporting dog care and safety throughout the facility
  • Assisting with social media, including client correspondence and content creation
  • Managing appointment requests and related client communication
  • Creating schedules, covering shifts when needed, and ensuring proper staffing coverage at all times
  • Creating and executing plans to meet goals set by ownership, including retail sales, budget targets, and overall business performance
  • Helping maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
  • Ensuring guests and their owners feel comfortable and receive the level of service they’ve come to expect from The Dog Stop
Necessary Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in retail and customer service
  • At least 2 years of employee management experience
  • At least 2 years of dog care experience
  • Comfortable handling dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Weekend and holiday availability is required
