Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end production operations within the CVG Seats Division in Vonore, TN.
This role oversees multiple production areas and drives operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
The position provides direct leadership to front-line supervisors and indirect leadership to a workforce of 200+ hourly employees in a plant. This role will partner with the other Operations Manager both reporting to the Plant Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily manufacturing operations across all assigned production lines.
Ensure attainment of production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity and waste reduction.
Directly manage Production Supervisors and Team Leaders.
Provide indirect leadership to 200+ hourly employees.
Champion a safety-first culture and ensure OSHA compliance.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.
Lead Lean manufacturing initiatives including 5S and Kaizen.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
10+ years manufacturing experience
3+ years production operations leadership experience (with salaried direct reports)
