Job description

We seek a dynamic Internal Communications Specialist to join our Firmwide Communications team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for serving internal clients and maintaining internal communication initiatives that engage and inform our employees. In addition, the ideal candidate will be a champion of Kimley-Horn’s culture and be able to communicate it clearly and effectively across the firm. This is not a remote position.

This role will be in our Raleigh, North Carolina (NC)  office! This is not a remote position. 


  • Support our internal clients to deliver information on tools and resources
  • Strengthen employee engagement through cultural initiatives and internal messages
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with teammates and partners
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Ensure consistent messaging and tone across all channels and for all clients
  • Prioritize and uphold the Kimley-Horn culture and brand

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of one year of experience in internal communications or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding collaboration skills
  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with content management systems – i.e., SharePoint, Sociabble, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with partners at all levels of the firm
