Job description

POSITION SUMMARY 

  • The Global Internal and Transformation Communications Manager serves as a strategic communications partner to executive leaders and transformation teams, helping connect employees to business priorities during periods of growth and change. This role combines executive communications, organizational change communications, and internal communications to drive understanding, engagement, and adoption across a global workforce. The successful candidate is equally comfortable shaping strategy, advising leaders, and executing high-quality communications that advance our high-performance culture. This role is on-site at our global headquarters in Westerville, Ohio and reports to the Global Head of Internal Communications. 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Serve as a communications advisor to senior leaders and transformation teams, developing and executing internal communications strategies that advance business priorities, support organizational change, and strengthen our high-performance culture 
  • Build trusted partnerships with leaders and stakeholders to understand key objectives, identify communication needs, and develop comprehensive communications plans that drive desired outcomes 
  • Act as lead communications partner for enterprise transformation initiatives, aligning communication strategies with change management plans to accelerate awareness, adoption, and business readiness 
  • Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to shape authentic, compelling communications that build trust, reinforce priorities, and inspire action across a global workforce 
  • Develop high-quality, executive-ready communications materials, including organizational announcements, change communications, town halls, leadership talking points and scripts, intranet content, key messaging, FAQs, and more 
  • Translate complex projects, initiatives, and transformation efforts into clear and engaging communications 
  • Advocate and bring audience perspective into communications to improve clarity, relevance, and impact 
  • Provide guidance on communication timing, cadence, and sequencing to ensure the right audience receives the right message at the right time 
  • Provide communications support for leadership, functional and corporate meetings, including agenda development, speaker preparation, content creation, message refinement, and event production 
  • Ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously, balancing strategic priorities and execution while ensuring high-quality work and on-time delivery 
  • Maintain strong editorial standards, brand alignment, and tone consistency across all communications 
  • Measure effectiveness of communication strategies, tactics and content and leverage insights to continuously improve engagement, adoption, and outcomes 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Minimum Job Qualifications:  

  • 5-8 years of experience in internal communications, executive communications, change communications, or related communications discipline 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop communications strategies, influence stakeholders, and translate complex topics into clear, compelling narratives 
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail; follows through to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness 
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships; Comfortable and confident working directly with executives and collaborating across functions, regions, and multiple levels of the organization 
  • Experience supporting communications for broad or complex organizational, operational, or transformation initiatives 
  • Strong business acumen and strategic curiosity, with the ability to connect organizational priorities and stakeholder needs with communications 
  • Excellent storyteller with ability to identify the key message and simplify complex concepts 
  • Strong organization and project management skills with ability to set and meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Interest and experience leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance communications and productivity 
  • Outstanding judgment, diplomacy, discretion, and proactive problem-solving, with the highest ethical standards 
  • Collaborative team player who willingly contributes on both the strategic and the tactical levels 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Agency or corporate communications experience with relevant work in internal communications 
  • Experience partnering closely with Change Management or Transformation teams 
  • Working knowledge of change management concepts and methodologies (e.g., Prosci) 
  • Experience working with a public company 
  • AP Style working knowledge 

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or related field
