Job Description
The Sr. Communications Manager drives communications activities and content that advance Amcor's objectives for is North American Flexibles businesses, building trust, engagement, and brand for both employee and external audiences. This role leads multichannel initiatives, creating awareness, engagement and adoption across key business units and functions. The senior manager will bring hands-on media relations, executive visibility and emerging communications technology experience into day-to-day work. The role also supports the broader organization and global communications team through participation in comms function workstreams, corporate events and special initiatives.

  • Manage and evolve key internal communications ecosystems, including intranet, town halls, organizational announcements, etc.
  • Develop and own end-to-end communications strategy and campaigns for various projects and programs, ensuring alignment with leadership messaging, transformation initiatives, and organizational updates.
  • Successfully roll out and implement new internal tools and processes with focus on employee engagement and change communications.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leadership, business partners, divisions, and functions and provide communications counsel that guides the messaging, timing, and campaign strategy.
  • Balance vision with hands-on execution to deliver communication strategies effectively.
  • Create communication strategies that drive adoption, positively influence behaviors and continuously evolve based on company's direction.
  • Define consistent communication processes across functions and teams to drive alignment, understanding and efficiency. Maintain an audience-focused mindset that drives adoption.
  • Identify opportunities, strategies, and stories, and develop high-impact internal communications campaigns to support business groups, while staying in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives. This may include communications support for plant safety initiatives, community relations, company volunteer activities, policy changes, and more.
  • Draft and secure input and approvals for a variety of written communications, including intranet stories, digital signage, employee emails, medial alerts, press releases, and executive presentations.
  • Help senior leaders prepare for key internal and external engagement (e.g., presentation materials, speeches, executive biographies, talking points, etc.).
  • Provide support for external communications initiatives, including news releases, media outreach, press inquiry response, and social media posts.
  • Serve as an organizational point of contact for Amcor style guide and corporate brand standards.
  • Manage reporting and analytics for communications channels, making recommendations to improve adoption, reach, and relevance of communication campaigns.

Compensation
The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $129,200 to $161,500; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $129,200 to $193,800 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.The salary range provided reflects the anticipated base pay for this role at the time of this posting. This range is applicable to positions performed in jurisdictions with pay transparency requirements, including CA, CO, CT, HI, IL, MD, MA, MN, NV, NJ, NY, RI, VT, WA, Washington DC, as well as remote roles that may be performed in these locations. Compensation for roles performed outside of these jurisdictions may vary. The Company reserves the right to modify this range at any time.
