Help shape the employee experience through communications that inform, engage, and inspire. As the Internal Communications Manager, you'll bring stories, business priorities, and company initiatives to life through compelling content, strategic communications, and meaningful employee engagement programs. Working closely with leaders across the firm, you'll play a key role in strengthening our employee-owner culture while leading the content strategy and day-to-day management of Square1, the firm's intranet and employee site.

Position Summary

The Internal Communications Manager develops and delivers communication strategies, content, and engagement initiatives that help employees understand organizational priorities, business updates, and company culture. This role partners with leaders and teams across the organization to create compelling communications, manage internal communication channels, and support company-wide programs and events that foster employee engagement and connection.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies that support business goals and strengthen employee-owner engagement.
  • Partner with leaders and teams across the firm to create and implement communication plans aligned with key initiatives and organizational priorities.
  • Write, edit, and distribute compelling content across a variety of internal communication channels.
  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor, providing guidance on messaging, audience engagement, and communication best practices.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization and ensure timely delivery of communication initiatives and projects.
  • Lead the content strategy and daily management of Square1, ensuring content is relevant, timely, engaging, and aligned with business needs.
  • Develop and maintain an editorial and content calendar to support consistent, strategic communication efforts.
  • Champion company brand standards, voice, and messaging across all internal communications.
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of communication programs and use insights to continuously improve future initiatives.
  • Coordinate and support firmwide events, employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, community impact efforts, and other internal activities.
  • Manage multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining a high level of quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, marketing, brand communications, or a related discipline.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop content for diverse audiences.
  • Experience developing communication strategies and executing communication plans across multiple channels.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and experience collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Adobe Creative Suite, and intranet or content management platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality communications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of managing intranet platforms, digital workplace tools, or employee communication channels, including content governance and editorial planning.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting employee engagement, culture-building, change management, or organizational communications initiatives.
  • Experience planning and executing company-wide events, campaigns, and internal programs.
  • Familiarity with communication analytics and measuring content performance and audience engagement.
  • Experience within the architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), professional services, or design industry.
  • Experience communicating within an employee-owned organization or a strong understanding of employee ownership cultures and how communications can foster engagement, transparency, and shared success.
  • Ability to travel as projects require.
