Job description

RECRUITING COORDINATOR, INTERN PROGRAM-TEMPORARY POSITION

We are looking for a collaborative and enthusiastic team player to join our Intern Program team. As a Recruiting Coordinator, you will impact the success of the SpaceX Intern Program, which hires interns across all SpaceX sites. In addition to being each intern candidate's first touchpoint with the company, you will remain their most valuable resource throughout the recruitment process. Your contributions will directly influence the next generation of emerging talent at SpaceX!

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Schedule high volumes of intern candidate phone screens, liaising between hiring managers and prospective candidates across multiple time zones
  • Work with speed and accuracy, ensuring that each interview is scheduled swiftly and that all communications include necessary information to set up candidates and interviewers for success
  • Demonstrate an extreme level of organizational skills through status updates to hiring teams and recruiting leaders
  • Assist the Intern Program and University Outreach team with special projects as needed

POSITION DETAILS:

This is a temporary position with SpaceX, for the length of time as stated, and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate.

  • LENGTH OF POSITION: 6 months (permanent hire conversion based on performance and business need)
  • LOCATION: Hawthorne, CA (requires being onsite - remote work not considered)
  • SHIFT: standard business hours

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Previous experience in a professional setting within recruiting, human resources, marketing, sales, or technology

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • 6+ months of professional experience in human resources, marketing, sales, or technology (internship experience is applicable)
  • Experience as a recruiting coordinator
  • Experience with Greenhouse or other applicant tracking system
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook and Microsoft Office tools
  • Basic knowledge of personnel policy and procedure in accordance with federal and state laws regarding employment practices
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects, be flexible to change, and adapt to shifting priorities
  • Team player with a high sense of urgency
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver with a strong passion to contribute to the team's success
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with tact, diplomacy, and discretion
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels, including senior management, on a 1:1 basis and in groups
  • Capacity to learn and speak intelligently about our business and the space industry
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to work 100% onsite in Hawthorne, CA - remote or hybrid work will not be considered

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:       

Recruiting Coordinator: $27.00/hour       

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for potential discretionary bonuses.
