A Podcast Intern assists with various aspects of podcast production, including research, editing, guest coordination, and content planning. They may help with recording sessions, audio editing, script writing, and promotional efforts. This role provides hands-on experience in the podcasting industry and is ideal for those interested in media, journalism, or audio production.
As a Podcast Intern, you can expect to assist with a variety of tasks such as researching episode topics, scheduling and coordinating guest interviews, editing audio files, and helping manage the podcast's social media presence. You'll likely support producers and hosts in both technical and creative aspects of the production process. Interns often help with show notes, transcriptions, and publishing episodes on various platforms. We're looking for energetic, motivated students with a passion for celebrity news to join our Fall Internship Program. As an Intern at TMZ, you will be exposed to the many facets of newsgathering, TV production, and digital content creation. Our interns are hands-on and directly contribute to the production process at TMZ. You'll have an opportunity to learn from senior staff and will participate in informative speaker sessions developed specifically for our internship program. This is a chance for the right person to gain broad exposure and grow within a leading entertainment news organization.
Our Podcasts DepartmentIntern will assist the Podcast Producer and Associate Producer with editing and producing clips for various social media platforms. Experience in Adobe Premiere and Audition, a plus.
Our Fall 2026 Internship program will run from October 2026 - December 2026. This is a paid program and Interns must meet all 5 criteria below for consideration:
Be available for the entire internship session, as outlined above.
Be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, in the form of two or more 10-hour days per week. Be comfortable with a work shift which begins at 6:00AM.
Have a demonstrated knowledge of the area(s) of interest as reflected in their field of study, course work and/or professional/internship experiences.
Be in their junior or senior year of college.
