Havas Formula is a top-ranked national public relations agency headquartered in New York, with additional offices in Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago and Miami. A subsidiary of Havas-one of the world's largest global communications groups.
The Social Media Assistant role is designed for those new to working in social media. The role supports a team on assigned clients' social media design and strategy to ensure they align with business goals. The program is designed for those interested in a career in Social Media.
The program is a full-time, 4-month-long position with the opportunity for extension and advancement within the company.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 6 pm.
Compensation is $22.00 per hour, overtime eligible.

  • Candidates must have already obtained a Bachelor's degree. Social Media Assistants are full-time and the programs run throughout the year (this is not a summer internship)

Responsibilities

Account Management

  • Supports the account team with executing social media strategy
  • Maintains social communities and assists in the execution of social ad strategy
  • Helps manage the social media communities and engages with customers through all digital outlets with an understanding of timeliness, speed, and trends
  • Works with the team to coordinate the creation of content for each client on time
  • Maintains the social calendar
  • Contributes to the traffic and policing of scheduled posts to meet deadlines
  • Helps to establish metrics and goals for tracking social media reach and impact with regular reporting and analysis on insights, using various analytics tools and platforms
  • Monitors industry trends and stays on top of the latest innovations and data trends
  • Researches ways to improve social media platforms and integration
  • Researches the brand, voice, and tone of each client's business
  • Understands client objectives and priorities

Team Management

  • Works seamlessly with the team to bring content and creative strategy to life (this may include reviewing copy to ensure strategic alignment and creative elevation)

Agency Contributions

  • Contributes positively to the culture, atmosphere, and values, and exudes a positive outlook on their team
  • Establishes professional and respectful employee relationships within the division and agency

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a digital, social, or multimedia-related discipline preferred.
