Job description

Mortenson is currently seeking a Scheduler I or II for our Solar group that will interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment,remainingflexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient witha high levelof professionalism and confidentiality.

In this role you'll dive into proposals and contracts to produce effective and well-thought-out project plans, identifying risks, and planning for the unexpected. 

Location: MN-HQ (hybrid)

Travel: Minimal

 This position offers opportunities at both levels 1 and 2, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications. Compensation for this role is determined based on factors such as experience and location.  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assistin drafting schedules using common CPM scheduling programs with oversight 
  • Work with site teams and trade partners to develop project schedules using CPM scheduling programs 
  • Support supervision by monitoring and updating project schedules 
  • Assistsite management in formulating mitigation plans for scheduling problems 
  • Assistwith proposals and pursuit schedules as needed 
  • Build relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field 
  • Basic knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software 
  • Basic knowledge of standard construction practices, project sequencing, project management, contracts, and buyout 
  • Ability to exercise creativity and mature judgment in solving problems 
  • Basic plan and specification reading, review, and interpretation skills 
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environment 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with initiative to seek innovative solutions 
  • Results-oriented to ensure delivery ofaccurate, complete, andtimelyproducts and services 
  • Active listening skills and effective communication, open to diverse input and feedback 
  • Ability to travel may berequiredbased on operating group 

Scheduler I 

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  
    • Prior experience of construction job sites highly preferred 
  • The base pay range for this role is $78,800 - $98,500 

Scheduler II 

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
    • Minimum of two years construction experience or equivalent combination of training and experience 
    • Experience as a project engineer is desirable 
  • The base pay range for this role is $89,500 - $120,800

 (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). 

 Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.  This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
