Job description

The Position Start your career in Local Government with the City of Ontario. The Administrative Intern is a paid, part-time/temporary position scheduled to work no more than 29 hours per week and is not eligible to participate in the City's health insurance or retirement plans. NOTE: This internship will be part of a rotational program structured to provide interns exposure with various departments throughout the City.

This internship have a duration of six (6) months. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis until a sufficient number of qualified applications have been received. Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply early.

Applications will be reviewed on a quarterly basis depending on the agency's needs. The next review of applications is scheduled for March 2, 2026. Completed applications will be reviewed and only qualified applicants whose qualifications best meet or exceed the requirements of the position and needs of the City, will be invited to participate further in the selection process.

Conducts research, analyzes data and develops reports to summarize and communicate findings.

Collects, compiles, analyzes, interprets, and presents data and findings. Assists with preparing visual and written content for formal documents (e.g., audit reports, memoranda, policies, etc.). Responds to requests for information and general questions from City staff and the public

Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualification Guidelines Education Successful completion of some major college course work in Public or Business Administration, or a closely related field.
