Job description

The Role

The insurance industry is undergoing significant transformation driven by regulatory changes, technological innovation, and evolving market dynamics. At WTW, we combine advisory expertise with leadingedge technology and strong analytical capabilities to support the world's leading insurance companies.

As an Intern within the Insurance Consulting & Technology (Life) team, you will work alongside experienced consultants on real client projects from day one. You will gain hands-on experience applying analytical skills, interpreting data, and contributing to meaningful business decisions.

This role offers a unique opportunity to build both technical actuarial expertise and business understanding in a dynamic, international, and collaborative environment. You will also benefit from one of the industry's most comprehensive actuarial training and development programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support consultants on life actuarial projects for leading insurance clients
  • Analyze data and produce insights to support business decision-making
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial and actuarial models
  • Perform stochastic modelling and risk analysis to assess financial risks and opportunities
  • Contribute to projects related to: 
    • Financial risk management
    • Capital optimization
    • Product strategy and distribution
    • Regulatory frameworks (including Solvency II)
  • Support corporate finance initiatives such as mergers & acquisitions, restructuring, and securitizations
  • Help improve processes and identify efficiencies within project delivery
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and client presentations
  • Support business development activities, including proposals and presentations
  • Build strong internal relationships and gradually engage with client stakeholders

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree or master's in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Resident in Spain
  • Strong proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Additional languages (e.g., French, Italian, Portuguese) are a plus

    • Databases (e.g., Access)
