The HR Student Worker at the Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union is a key contributor to the Human Resources team, responsible for providing clerical support and assistance to various HR functions. This role serves as the first point of contact for employees seeking HR assistance and is expected to answer general questions or direct employees to the appropriate HR manager. The HR Student Worker performs various clerical duties such as data entry, filing, maintaining form binders, and assisting with HR events. This role also assists with various projects assigned in the department and maintains a high level of confidentiality in matters pertaining to the personal affairs, credit union account information, and personnel files. The HR Student Worker is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of the Human Resources Department and contributes to the overall success of the organization. This role is an excellent opportunity for a college student seeking hands-on experience in the HR field.

In this position, you will

  • Clerical Duties and Employee Assistance: Perform various clerical duties such as data entry, making copies, filing, purge files as needed, maintain form binders, purge binders as needed, check e-bulletin boards, distribute HR mail and other items within the credit union. Serve as first point of contact for employees coming to HR for assistance. Answer general questions or direct employees to the appropriate HR manager.
  • Recruitment Support: Put together and send out employment application packets. Gather new employee materials
  • Project and Event Assistance: Assist with various projects assigned in the department. Assist with various HR events (i.e., Health Fair, Blood Drive, Book Fair, Education Fair, Annual Sportswear order), which may include making phone calls within/outside PSECU
  • Confidentiality and Knowledge Maintenance: Maintain a high level of confidentiality in matters pertaining to the personal affairs, credit union account information, contents of personnel files, conversations and/or e-mails pertaining to credit union employees and/or members. Maintain a working knowledge of credit union policies and forms, primarily those associated with the HR functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School (Required)Any equivalent combination of experience and education.| Not Required Must be a current student actively pursuing a degree or certification for the duration of the internship/student worker assignment.| Required Must meet PSECU's minimum employment eligibility requirements, including being at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.| Required
