Job Description:
Help create a warm, caring, and safe environment for children and assist the classroom educators in our Early Childhood Center of Excellence- WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FALL INTERN!
Our Early Childhood Center of Excellence is looking for a fall intern! In this role, you will support high-quality early learning experiences by engaging children in play-based activities, modeling positive interactions, and helping maintain an organized, nurturing classroom. You'll collaborate with educators to prepare materials, set up learning spaces, and reinforce daily routines that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development. Interns will also observe best practices in early childhood education, contribute to classroom projects, and assist with family-centered events as needed. This position offers hands-on experience in a professional early learning setting and the opportunity to learn from experienced educators committed to excellence.
Qualifications:
  • Actively pursuing college coursework in Early Childhood Education; must be affiliated with a college or university
  • Interest and experience with relevant and appropriate age group
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues, listen well, and work effectively with others
  • Have desire to achieve professional opportunities in Early Childhood Education

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Support educators and staff by assisting with engaging children in developmentally appropriate activities individually and in groups.
  • Shadow educators in completing various early childhood classroom tasks, including but not limited to, curriculum development, classroom management, etc.
  • Interact with children at all times in a nurturing and developmentally appropriate way, while encouraging self-help.
  • Promote and model good hygiene and nutrition.
  • Assist in the daily and weekly maintenance of an organized, clean and well-equipped classroom.
  • Adhere to all program and agency policies.
  • Participate in ongoing staff development.
