Job description

Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineering Intern will work with other project team members to ensure the successful outcome for the client and Triple Ring. Day to day activities will include hands on technical and product development engineering.

Please note, this is a onsite summer internship from June to August in our Newark, CA office. Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Engineering analysis and modeling using classical and numerical methods
  • Data driven component and assembly Design
  • Hands on build and test; data analysis and reporting.
  • Preparing documentation including CAD drawings, BOM's, and QMS documentation

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Candidate must have a strong academic background with a record of project achievement
  • 3 years of study toward a Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Academic strength and interest in several of the following areas:
    • Medical devices and technology
    • Robotics / mechatronics
    • Machine Design
    • Dynamics
    • Design
    • Heat transfer
    • Finite element analysis (solid mechanics, thermal, fluid systems)
    • Thermodynamics
    • Applied mathematics
  • Strong engineering and physical science fundamentals and analytical skills
  • Willingness to be "hands on"
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

The annual salary/hourly range for jobs which are performed in US, California is $30.00 to $38.00. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies and work location.

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which requires working onsite a minimum of 3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and 1-day of your choice. In certain circumstances the hybrid work model may change to accommodate business needs.
