Position Summary


Haven Services with Heart of Ohio and The Plumbing Source, is seeking an experienced Design-Build Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to lead electrical projects from concept through completion.


This position is responsible for estimating commercial and industrial electrical projects, developing design-build solutions, managing project execution, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.


The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong estimating experience, project management expertise, and the ability to collaborate with engineers, field teams, customers, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Preconstruction

  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and industrial electrical projects.ย 
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.ย 
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and material pricing.ย 
  • Develop design-build electrical solutions that meet customer needs and project budgets.ย 
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.ย 
  • Identify value engineering opportunities.ย 
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits.ย 
  • Prepare project budgets and cost analyses.


Project Management

  • Manage multiple electrical projects simultaneously from award through closeout.ย 
  • Develop project schedules and coordinate manpower requirements.ย 
  • Lead project kickoff meetings.ย 
  • Coordinate with customers, engineers, architects, and internal departments.ย 
  • Manage project budgets and forecast costs.ย 
  • Process change orders and maintain project documentation.ย 
  • Monitor project progress to ensure schedule and quality expectations are met.ย 
  • Conduct regular job site visits.ย 
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents.


Client Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers.ย 
  • Build long-term relationships with clients and industry partners.ย 
  • Attend owner meetings and project progress meetings.ย 
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.ย 


Field Coordination

  • Work closely with field supervisors and electricians.ย 
  • Coordinate equipment procurement and material deliveries.ย 
  • Assist with labor planning and scheduling.ย 
  • Support field teams in resolving construction issues.ย 
  • Ensure proper communication between office and field personnel.ย 


Financial Management

  • Track project costs and profitability.ย 
  • Review monthly job cost reports.ย 
  • Approve invoices and purchase orders.ย 
  • Prepare billing documentation.ย 
  • Monitor project cash flow.ย 
  • Identify financial risks and implement corrective actions.ย 


Safety & Quality

  • Promote a strong safety culture.ย 
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and company safety policies are followed.ย 
  • Participate in project safety meetings.ย 
  • Maintain quality standards throughout all phases of construction.ย 
  • Assist in project closeout and warranty coordination.ย 


Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience.ย 
  • 5+ years of electrical project management experience.ย 
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems.ย 
  • Experience with design-build delivery methods.ย 
  • Ability ย to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications.ย 
  • Strong budgeting and cost control experience.ย 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.ย 
  • Valid driver's license.ย 


Preferred

  • Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician license.ย 
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.ย 
  • Experience with healthcare, education, industrial, or municipal projects.ย 
  • Experience with BIM coordination.ย 
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
