Job description

CASE is looking for a positive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented design intern to help us create engaging e-commerce websites and digital experiences for our clients, primarily in the beauty, wellness and lifestyle space. In this internship you will build your resume while gaining first-hand knowledge of e-commerce best practices and developing original brand concepts.

As a CASE intern, you will: 

Work collaboratively with the CASE teams to develop original brand concepts and learn how to take concepts across websites, digital experiences and branded materials.

Understand the client brief for each project to construct design approaches that will inform thoughtful solutions, or validate design direction. 

Utilize Figma and Adobe Creative Suite to build client assets.

Translate design strategies, consumer needs and technical capabilities into designs that are visually exciting, and easy to use.

Engage in internal reviews to streamline concepts; provide context and strategic rationale for design decisions while soliciting feedback.

Effectively consolidate and share essential insights to provide a comprehensive understanding of findings and observations 

Bring a fresh perspective to the digital experience.

  Attend client meetings and assist in presenting findings when possible.


QUALIFICATIONS 

Pursuing a BA/BS degree; previous internship experience in a creative environment (advertising agency or design firm) preferred. 

Dynamic, positive and solution-oriented with a talent for building relationships. 

Passionate about digital media, obsessed with the beauty/haircare/ fashion industries with knowledge of the competitive landscape, and a desire to always know what's new and next. 

Exhibit a well-developed sense of aesthetics, as evidenced by a refined portfolio.

Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and presentation software (Invision, Keynote or Google slides).

U.S. citizen or authorized to live and work in the U.S. 

DETAILS 

Location: NYC

Duration: Approximately 10 - 14 weeks 

Hours: Full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) 

Compensation: CASE interns are paid hourly (based on the current New York State hourly rate of $17 per hour) and are not eligible for benefits.
