The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship; it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.

We are seeking a highly motivated Enterprise Architecture Enablement Intern to join our Enterprise Architecture (EA) team. This role focuses on building enabling systems, tools, and collaboration structures that improve how Enterprise Architects engage with customers and stakeholders at scale. "Here you don't just observe — you contribute. From day one, you'll work alongside experienced architects and the team lead, with a real voice in ongoing projects."

The intern will work hands-on with senior architects to design, automate, organize, and optimize the tools, workflows, and collaboration spaces that support enterprise-wide architecture work.

Position title: SAP iXp Intern – Enterprise Architecture Enablement

Location: Alpharetta, GA (Highly Preferred); Chicago, IL; or Newtown Square, PA

In-Office Expectation: 2-3x/Week

Expected Start: June 2026*

Duration: 6 Months

In this role, you will build and enhance enterprise-scale enablement solutions that support how SAP Enterprise Architects collaborate, standardize work, and engage with customers.

Key responsibilities include: 

Enterprise Architecture Enablement

  • Design and deliver reusable tools, templates, and automation to support Enterprise Architecture activities.
  • Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects to understand needs and translate them into scalable, repeatable solutions.
  • Establish and maintain standards for architecture artifacts and information architecture.

AI, Automation, and Productivity

  • Leverage AI-assisted tools (including generative AI, copilots, and analytics assistants) to:
    • Accelerate documentation and architecture artifact creation
    • Improve knowledge discovery, summarization, and reuse
    • Support informed decision-making through insights and analytics
  • Analyze and optimize EA processes to reduce manual effort and improve cycle time.

Knowledge & Collaboration Platforms

  • Develop and maintain internal repositories, dashboards, and collaboration platforms.
  • Organize and optimize Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other knowledge spaces to improve clarity, accessibility, and adoption.
  • Ensure architecture content is well-structured, discoverable, and sustainably maintained.

Standards, Guidance, and Adoption

  • Create self-service guidance, technical playbooks, and standards for architecture assets.
  • Document solutions clearly to ensure long-term adoption, and scalability.
  • Promote consistent usage of tools and standards across the architecture community.

Business Impact

Your work will directly improve how Enterprise Architects operate globally by:

  • Reducing manual and repetitive work through automation and AI-enabled solutions
  • Improving consistency, quality, and scalability of architectural deliverables
  • Enabling faster onboarding and self-service through intelligent documentation
  • Supporting data-driven architecture decisions using AI-powered insights

You will work closely with senior Enterprise Architects, architecture advisory leaders, and cross-functional teams. From day one, you will contribute to real initiatives, supported by mentorship, regular feedback, and collaboration across global teams.

  • Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field.  Graduating Seniors/2nd Year Masters highly desirable

    • Preferred Background: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Relevant coursework or academic Projects in systems thinking, process optimization or data analysis)

  • Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.  

Experience and Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools

  • Interest in AI, automation, systems design, or workflow optimization

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Structured, detail-oriented, and eager to learn

  • Big Plus: Knowledge of Lean IX
