Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking an IMAGING INTERN to join our team!

  • This is an excellent opportunity for a current or waitlisted Radiology students to gain real-world exposure in the field! Intern opportunities may be available within X-Ray, CT, MRI, or Nuclear Medicine.

The Imaging Intern is a student trainee with broad-base knowledge of general radiography science and procedures. The student may have had limited clinical experience and is evolving their clinical skills. The practitioner operates various types of equipment in a progressive manner of mastery and independence. Clinical experiences occur under the general supervision of a registered technologist until competencies for their modality are met.

The Imaging Intern is a member of the patient care team and is responsible for assisting with providing patient care under the direction of radiologists and registered technologists.

HOURS: Occasional hours; scheduling based upon applicant availability and department need

Experience/Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in or on waitlist for an an approved radiography program.

  • Previous work experience in an acute care setting is beneficial but not required.

  • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
