Job description

Marketing & Content Creation Intern — Cross Creek Landscape Design + Build Coeur d'Alene, ID | Monthly stipend | College Credit | Part-Time (15–20 hrs/week)

Who We Are
Cross Creek Landscape Design + Build is a $2.5 million luxury landscape design and build firm serving North Idaho and beyond. We started small — one person, a strong work ethic, and a vision for building outdoor spaces that mean something — and we've grown into one of the region's premier design-build firms.

We're a values-driven, faith-rooted company. That shows up in how we treat our team, our clients, and our craft: with integrity, excellence, and care. We build outdoor living environments where families rest, reconnect, and create memories — and we pour the same intention into our culture that we pour into our projects.

We take our work seriously and hold ourselves to a high standard. Colossians 3:23 — "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart" — is a guiding principle for how we operate, not a litmus test for who we hire.

The Role
We're looking for a Marketing & Content Creation Intern who is creative, self-motivated, and excited to help tell the story of a growing company doing meaningful work. You'll capture the beauty of what we build, showcase our team, and help grow our presence on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

You'll work directly with our founder, Randy McCabe. This role will stretch you, develop you, and give you real-world experience in a company where craftsmanship, character, and excellence are non-negotiable.

What You'll Do:
  • Visit job sites and company events to film and photograph our work and our team.
  • Create and edit short-form video content and static posts for Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Manage a weekly content calendar and post consistently across platforms.
  • Attend one weekly check-in meeting with Randy (virtual or in-person).
  • Receive assigned tasks and execute them independently — you'll be expected to own your work, ask clarifying questions when needed, and deliver on time.
  • Bring creative ideas and a genuine voice to everything you post.

This role rewards self-starters. You'll be given clear direction and trusted to carry it out. If you need close supervision to complete basic responsibilities, this isn't the right fit. If you thrive when given ownership and love checking things off a list — welcome.

What We're Looking For:
  • A local student in the Coeur d'Alene / North Idaho area.
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program offering internship or practicum credit.
  • Comfortable behind a camera and capable of editing video content.
  • Familiar with Instagram and Facebook — bonus points for YouTube Shorts or TikTok-style content.
  • Strong personal integrity — someone who does what they say they'll do.
  • Aligned with our company values: treating people well, building things worth being proud of, and approaching work with excellence and ownership.

What You'll Gain:
  • Paid monthly stipend of $100-150 to start, with the potential to move into a paid position.
  • College credit (we'll partner with your program coordinator to make it official).
  • A professional portfolio of real content from a growing, values-driven company.
  • Direct mentorship from a founder who built something meaningful from the ground up.
  • Experience managing social media for a brand with a clear identity and a strong story.
  • The chance to use your creativity in service of work that genuinely matters.

Details:
  • Location: Coeur d'Alene, ID — on-site content capture is required; some flexibility for remote editing work.
  • Hours: 15–20 hours per week, flexible scheduling.
  • Compensation: monthly stipend, depending on experience — college credit eligible.
  • Reports to: Randy McCabe, Founder & Owner.

Application Questions:
Please answer all of the following questions in your application. Be honest. Be yourself. We're not looking for the "right" answer — we're looking for the real one.

  • What is the most important thing in your life, and why?
  • Describe your experience with content creation — what platforms have you used, what have you created, and what does your best work look like? Include links or examples if you have them.
  • Have you managed social media for a business, organization, club, or ministry before? If so, describe what you did and what results you saw.
  • What equipment do you currently have access to for filming and editing content? (Phone, camera, laptop, editing software, etc.).
  • Tell us about a time you were given a task or project and had to complete it largely on your own. What did you do, and what was the outcome?
  • What is your current school, program of study, and expected graduation date? Has your program confirmed that this internship would qualify for academic credit?
  • Why Cross Creek? Not the experience, not the resume line — why this company, this mission, at this season of your life? Make your case. We want to know what is stirring in you right now and why you believe this internship is part of it.

To Apply
Send your answers to the application questions above, along with 2–3 examples of content you've created, to office@crosscreek.studio

We read every application. If this opportunity resonates with you, don't wait.
