Job description

As an Architectural Drafting intern at Hendrick, you will have the opportunity to learn about the full process of architectural facade design and fabrication of metal facade systems.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the creation of Architectural submittals, including plan views, elevations, details, sections and schedules.
  • Performing redline mark-ups on drawings to incorporate client/stakeholder feedback.
  • Learning about the metal fabrication process and how it integrates with architectural design.
  • Supporting the project team with various drafting and documentation tasks as needed.
  • You will also be given your own Architectural submittal project to complete during your internship.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Primarily sitting at a desk using the computer. Some bending and twisting are required.  Routine duties will occasionally require lifting approximately 10-20 pounds (and periodically heavier loads.)

All work will be done in a timely manner within established quality standards and consistent with Company policies, priorities and needs.  The individual holding this position has a broad responsibility for carrying out the objectives of the Company including supporting all company policies, meeting goals, and working as a contributing team member.  Performance will be measured on the function/duties described in the position description, accomplishments during the review period, and the methods/work skills used to achieve the goals.
