Job description

This role will help scale and advance the Apple Pay ecosystem by working with leading issuers, networks, PSPs, payment processors, FinTechs and channel partners to deliver seamless, Apple Pay experiences.
We're seeking a “hybrid” product/project professional to provide key subject matter expertise during the initial engagement with new Apple Pay partners and to implement new features with existing strategic Apple Pay Partners .
Description
In this role, you will collaborate closely with BD, Product, Developer Relations, and engineering teams to implement new Apple Pay and Wallet features.
You will drive partner integrations, design scalable technical solutions, and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
You will work hands-on with a variety of ecosystem partners such as: Issuers, payment processors, networks, FinTechs, POS vendors and labs to resolve issues, enable new capabilities, and maintain strong technical relationships that directly impact business outcomes.
You will lead multiple Apple Pay projects from conception through execution, ensuring alignment across partners and internal teams. Your work will enable consistent, high-quality payment experiences and contribute to the ongoing innovation of Apple Pay and the broader Wallet ecosystem.
You will also evangelize Apple Pay technology to and drive Wallet adoption through solving customer problems and also understand industry standards and technology trends.","responsibilities":"Integrate Apple Wallet functionality with key Issuers and Issuer ecosystem partners.
Define technical requirements, integration and testing plans, and launch milestones in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Lead partner onboarding and implementations end-to-end, resolving technical blockers and driving execution across internal teams.
Provide ongoing technical support and feature enablement for existing partners to increase conversion and customer usage.
Translate partner needs into clear technical requirements and product improvements, leveraging data and recurring feedback.
Develop and refine documentation, APIs/SDKs, and tooling to simplify integrations and reduce partner onboarding friction.
Serve as SME on contactless payments, EMV, tokenization, provisioning, and Apple Pay flows to guide troubleshooting and partner architecture reviews.
Monitor ecosystem trends (tap-to-pay, token provisioning, network changes, payment trends) and advise internal teams on market-ready enhancements.
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience working with external partners on cross channel initiatives and new technologies
Deep understanding of Network Tokenization standards, NFC Technologies, EMV contactless, 3DS, ISO 8583/ISO 20022 , RTP, WSDL and mobile technology
Experience in payment processing, mobile payments, issuer apps, electronic commerce, NFC ecosystem and applications
Experience in issuer or payment ecosystem authentication methods, fraud prevention and detection and industry best practices
Experience with Latam domestic payment schemes or alternate payment methods
Fluent or working proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of experience as an engineering project/program/product manager, ideally within fintech or core payment technologies
Experience in the payments industry, digital wallets,
Ability to lead complex initiatives with hands-on technical expertise across the payment ecosystem, including NFC/contactless payments, EMV, payment rails, gateways, PSPs, acquirers, and payment terminals
Proven ability to communicate effectively with partners and stakeholders at all levels
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions
B.A./B.S./M.S. EE/CS degree required
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,500 and $263,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
