Audit And Assurance Intern

Within CCK, Audit & Assurance focuses on partnering with clients in every stage of their organization's life cycle to add value and provide quality assurance services. This includes financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, as well as internal audit, SOC examinations, fraud examinations, and more.

The Audit and Assurance Intern is motivated and highly organized, responsible for executing detailed work plans, and cultivating relationships both inside the firm and with clients. CCK appreciates individuals with an advisory mindset who enjoy working with entrepreneurial clients across a wide range of industries. The audit and assurance Intern will achieve success through demonstrating inquisitiveness and mastery of basic accounting concepts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Staff and Seniors with the preparation of engagement workpapers.
  • Completing detailed workpaper documentation in accordance with firm and industry standards.
  • Remaining current with audit and accounting standards.
  • Identifying and communicating areas of risk within the engagement team and applying basic accounting principles.
  • Working directly with clients, when necessary.
  • Completing assigned sections of each engagement within the budgeted parameters.
  • Addressing review notes in a complete and timely manner.
  • Providing training to less experienced staff, under supervision of senior or manager.
  • Adhere to all relevant information security policies and procedures, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and upholding the integrity and confidentiality of the company information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Effective time management โ€“ Working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to a wide variety of projects.
  • Proactively seeking opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to think critically and independently resolve challenges and issues as they arise.
  • Able to travel to client locations both locally and occasionally out of state as needed.

Qualifications:

  • In process of obtaining Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other related field
