Job description

Staff Accountant LHH Recruitment is partnering with a company near Scottsdale who is in search of a staff accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent accounting graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to build on their general ledger experience. This role is fully onsite, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
  • Assist with general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Analyze financial data and investigate account variances.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and reconcile accounting data.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Minimum of 6 months of general ledger accounting experience, including preparing journal entries.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, sorting/filtering, pivot tables preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
