Job description

Role Overview

ProSource Group is recruiting a Superintendent on behalf of an established general contractor delivering commercial interior projects throughout New York City.


The Superintendent will report to a Senior Superintendent and manage the day-to-day field operations of assigned projects. This includes coordinating subcontractors, maintaining the construction schedule, monitoring quality and safety, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with the project requirements.


Candidates must have 3–5 years of Superintendent experience within commercial interiors. Previous healthcare interiors experience would be highly desirable but is not essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily field operations on commercial interior projects throughout NYC.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, trades, deliveries and site activities.
  • Develop and maintain short-term schedules and look-ahead plans.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or site issues.
  • Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct site meetings and communicate progress to the Senior Superintendent and project team.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing and required project documentation.
  • Maintain site safety, cleanliness and organization.
  • Manage punch-list completion and support final project handover.


Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience working as a construction Superintendent.
  • Commercial interiors experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of field coordination, sequencing and construction schedules.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades.
  • Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Healthcare interiors experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work fully on-site across NYC.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary of up to $160,000.
