About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Data and Business Intelligence to lead our global data initiatives. This pivotal role will be responsible for defining and executing our enterprise data strategy, building robust data platforms, delivering actionable insights, and fostering a data-driven culture across the organization.
You will lead a diverse, geographically distributed team of data engineers, BI developers, data scientists, and analysts, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like AWS, Snowflake, Apache Superset and advanced AI tools to unlock the full potential of our data assets and drive significant business impact.
This is a remotely based role in the US. Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. Qualified Applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.
What you will do
Strategy & Leadership
  • Define and execute the enterprise data strategy aligned to business priorities
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to deliver a clear, outcomes-driven data roadmap
  • Identify opportunities to use data and AI to improve decisions and performance

Data Platform & Architecture
  • Own the design and evolution of a scalable, cloud-based data platform (AWS, Snowflake)
  • Ensure strong data quality, governance, security, and performance standards
  • Drive efficient, cost-conscious data architecture decisions

Business Intelligence & Analytics
  • Deliver dashboards, reports, and insights that support decision-making across teams
  • Enable self-service analytics while maintaining data consistency and trust
  • Translate business needs into clear data solutions

AI & Innovation
  • Apply AI tools to improve data analysis, automation, and workflows
  • Support responsible and ethical use of AI

Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a global team of data professionals
  • Build an inclusive, collaborative team environment
  • Align resources, goals, and performance across distributed teams

Stakeholder Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business and executive stakeholders
  • Communicate insights and strategy clearly to varied audiences
  • Evaluate tools and manage vendor relationships

What you need
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in data management, business intelligence, and analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing technical teams.
  • Experience building and scaling modern data platforms in enterprise environments
  • Strong expertise with AWS and Snowflake
  • Proficiency in SQL; experience with Python or similar tools is a plus
  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)
  • Background leading global or distributed teams
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security practices
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

The pay range for this position is $ 162,578 - $ 278,705 annually with a target incentive of 20% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
