Job description

A highly regarded Orange County law firm is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Docketing Specialist to support a sophisticated Intellectual Property practice. This role is responsible for managing complex domestic and international patent, trademark, and copyright docketing matters and offers the opportunity to work closely with legal professionals across a busy IP practice group.
Responsibilities
  • Review and process docket communications related to patent, trademark, and copyright matters
  • Enter, maintain, and update critical deadlines using intellectual property docketing software
  • Monitor and maintain docket accuracy through quality control procedures
  • Prepare routine and customized docket reports
  • Track and manage domestic and foreign prosecution deadlines
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure timely handling of IP matters
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of intellectual property docketing experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and foreign patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution
  • Experience with patent and trademark prosecution procedures and deadlines
  • Familiarity with USPTO systems, including eTEAS, PAIR, TESS, TSDR, and TTAB
  • Experience with FoundationIP docketing software required
  • Experience with Anaqua preferred
  • Prior experience using iManage and Microsoft Excel
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
