Manufacturing Test Engineer Contract position

(Location: Nashua, NH area)

Overview:

Client is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer or Test Technician to perform debug and validation efforts for Intel-based server motherboards. This technical role calls for a person with deep expertise in hardware-level diagnostics, as well as the vision to drive process improvement and test strategy innovation.
Must have the following experience:
*3+ years of experience with the following - Debugging processor boards (Intel Processor Boards preferred) and Server Architecture experience.
*Looking for someone who can come up to speed quickly.
*Candidates need the following experience...
Production experience, Debugging experience, Knowledge of/experience with Digital interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead root-cause analysis and complex debug activities on Intel server motherboard platforms.
- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and validation scripts.
- Collaborate with design, BIOS, firmware, and manufacturing teams to resolve product issues and improve first-pass yields.
- Identify opportunities to enhance test efficiency and reliability through automation, tool development, or workflow optimization.
- Mentor junior engineers and set quality standards in test methodology and execution.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in hardware validation, system-level debug, or similar roles.
- Experience doing root-cause analysis and complex debug activities on motherboard platforms (Intel server motherboard platforms is preferred)
- Strong expertise in Intel architecture, server platform features, and debug tools (e.g., ITP, JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).
- Proven experience in developing and implementing robust validation plans.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with manufacturing test flows or high-volume production environments.
- Knowledge of quality systems, reliability analysis, or Six Sigma processes.
