Job description

SAIC is hiring a Networked Weapons Integration Advisor to lead the planning and integration of the Long Range Kill Chain Networked Enabled Weapons within the Air Combat Command's Advanced Programs Weapons Division (A5/8ZW). Join our team of experts working with high-level stakeholders to develop systems that ensure national security.

Location: Langley Air Force Base, Hampton, VA.
Travel: Up to one (1) trip per month to CONUS/OCONUS areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tactical expertise for the weapons portfolio including HACM, JASSM, LRASM, JSM, FAMM, and future classified projects.
  • Offer operational, technical, and analytical support to document JCIDS and MAJCOM Weapon Requirements.
  • Interface regularly with Joint Staff, Air Staff, MAJCOMs, NAFs, OSD, AF TENCAP, FFRDCs, and other government organizations.
  • Advise on mission needs, requirements analysis, and program roadmap creation, including technology insertion and platform integration.
  • Support security integration of weapon systems for warfighter needs.
  • Coordinate with acquisition, budget, test, and technology teams to ensure successful planning and execution.
  • Represent ACC/A589 at functions, conferences, and critical meetings as a SME in Net Enabled Weapons.

Required Clearance:

  • US citizenship.
  • TS/SCI required to start; Ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly required to maintain employment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Rated pilot or Weapons System Officer in a Combat Air Force (CAF) platform.
  • Strong military operations background.
  • Familiar with DoD staff work, PPBE process, JCIDS process, and DoD systems acquisition.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Special Access Program (SAP) experience.
  • Datalink or Crypto Ops experience.
