Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Testing and Commissioning Integration Lead. Join us in an exciting adventure to complete the Edmonton Valley Line West LRT - a remarkable legacy project that will redefine our community's transportation landscape! Be part of this transformative journey and help us create a lasting impact for generations to come!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop SIT test procedures and P.Eng Stamp
  • Review all requirements to develop dynamic testing procedures involving multiple systems
  • Work with design to develop construction staged testing strategy (P1, TZ1, TZ2, Regression)
  • Review ICDs against design requirements for Validation method
  • Review with T&C team subsystem requirements for SIT and interface staging against construction stages
  • Derive requirements from project functional plans
    • Gerry Wright OMF Building B Parametric Programming report
    • Requirements & Derived requirements for SIT & SIT/LRV
    • Power System Study - Requirements & Derived for SIT, SIT& LRV
  • Manage and update project Systems configuration state document - against project discussions and developments
  • Review operational DDCRs and refine validation methods against location & readiness
  • Develop pre-requisites for T&C and manage schedule for readiness for major system SITs
  • Develop and work with performance demonstrations criteria
  • Be part of T&C on site during testing, organize readiness and drive works
  • SITs to be produced & stamped but not limited too
    • Line of sight - distance reaction times
    • Headway, min max operational speed in each section/ direction/ failure
    • Acceleration / deceleration characteristics with AW loading
    • Dynamic tests proving RAMs
    • Degraded mode operations SIG, POWER, Track, Comms - Against operation processes
    • Series - multiple LRV tests, load monitoring, harmonics, failure and rescue scenarios.
    • Any testing against SOPs

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience, as well as 5+ years of experience in field construction is required.
  • Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or rail projects is preferred.
  • Technical knowledge and experience in the commissioning of Transit Rail Systems in at least one major system (Signaling, Communications, Track, SCADA, overhead catenary, tunnel ventilation, etc.).

  • Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to Goal Zero safety program.

  • Valid Class 5 license; clean abstract preferred

  • Ability to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions
