This role will be performed on-site in Huntsville, AL.

Summit TRC is seeking an experienced and motivated Systems Integration Engineer. The ideal candidate will perform integration tasks like installation, configuration, automation, test, and analysis of systems. If you have a knack for making different software and hardware communicate seamlessly at the low level, please apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform design, integration, deployment, and troubleshooting tasks related to Operating Systems (RHEL), Virtual Machines, and Containers
  • Orchestrate system-to-system integration to validate and optimize system compatibility, performance, and security
  • Develop scripts for autonomous deployment, monitoring, or configuration management using languages such as Bash, Python, or Ansible
  • Diagnose issues and perform complex systems-level troubleshooting across software, networks, and hardware components
  • Gather and analyze system data to identify integration requirements and diagnose system needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on integration and deployment objectives and system constraints
  • Create technical instructions, integration architectures, configuration guides, or other documentation supporting system deployment and troubleshooting
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend information systems, technologies, and infrastructure components that best address technical requirements
  • Ensure critical system information, updates, and decisions are communicated effectively throughout the organization, and provide ongoing post-integration troubleshooting and support

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Active Secret or higher security clearance
  • Strong proficiency in Linux systems and command line
  • Experience working with virtualized environments, VMs, and hypervisors (Ex. VMWare, Hyper-V)
  • Experience troubleshooting and solving complex problems at the systems-level
  • Proven experience with scripting and automation tools such as Bash, Python, or Ansible
  • Experience with containerization platforms is a plus
  • Solid understanding of core networking concepts and firewall configurations to support system-to-system integration and secure data flows
