Job description

Integra Vascular provides patient-focused, preventative vascular care to the people of our communities and to long-term residents of medical facilities nationwide. Our mission is to minimize unnecessary wounds, hospitalizations, and the need for patient travel through early diagnosis and exceptional onsite care.

Guided by our commitment to providing the highest caliber of vascular care, we strive to provide our patients with as much physical function and comfort as possible. Our expert physicians create cutting-edge treatment plans that best serve the needs of each individual and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography exams in accordance with Integra Vascular's policies and procedures

  • Practices proper patient identification before proceeding with an exam

  • Review all supporting clinical information

  • Evaluate any contraindications, insufficient patient prep, and patient’s inability or unwillingness to tolerate the examination

  • Use proper patient positioning and equipment adjustments to ensure patient and sonographer comfort and safety

  • Knowledge of infectious diseases and the utilization of Universal Precautions

  • Perform diagnostic medical sonography examinations placed by the ordering physician in accordance with Integra Vascular's ultrasound protocols

  • Acquires additional images when needed for optimal diagnostic results

  • Identifies and documents any limitations of the exam and prepares comments/findings at the end of the exam

  • Documents any incidental findings that might impact patient safety or care

  • Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues or call for assistance

  • Properly cares for Ultrasound equipment and notifies the office if there are any issues

  • Establishes and maintains collaborative working relationships with co-workers and members of the health care team

  • Maintains education and training in Sonography

  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor or direct management

Qualifications:

  • Prior Venous Insufficiency experience preferred

  • RVT Certification preferred

  • Ultrasound Certificate

  • Competency in specialty area/s performed and ARDMS or CCI registry

  • Proficiency in computer skills

  • PACS and EMR experience

  • Committed to professional growth and learning

  • Clean driving record

  • Travel required

  • Not listed on the OIG exclusion list

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Venous Insufficiency: 1 year (Required)

  • Sonography: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • BLS Certification (Required)

  • Registered Vascular Technologist (Preferred)
