Job description

Mavi North America is seeking a Product Planning Coordinator to join our team at our Westwood, NJ office. This role will support merchandise planning, inventory management, and business analysis across our retail, wholesale, and e-commerce channels. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about using data to drive inventory decisions and business performance.



Responsibilities:


  • Plan and manage inventory levels through a thorough understanding of product performance and channel needs.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Merchandising teams to develop product plans that support seasonal strategies, customer demand, and market trends.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage seasonal buy plans.
  • Determine appropriate buy quantities, including assortment breadth and item depth.
  • Develop receipt plans for core products and monitor stock coverage and stock-to-sales performance.
  • Analyze sales and inventory data to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of buying decisions.
  • Review merchandising plans with the Sales team and participate in seasonal line reviews and pre-merchandising meetings.
  • Analyze business performance from multiple perspectives, including channel, product category, fabric, and price point, and provide actionable insights.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly sales reports, recommending updates to buy plans based on sales trends.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize minimum order quantities (MOQs) and improve gross margin through proactive inventory and buying decisions.
  • Support the development and maintenance of merchandise performance reports and dashboards.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar position
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive and solution-driven mindset
  • Experience in the retail or apparel industry is preferred.
