Job description

Overview
We are seeking a full-time Home Audio Sales Manager. In this role, you will be a highly motivated and experienced sales professional responsible for developing new retail sales and cultivating and expanding relationships with Garmin JL Audio dealers which could include but is not limited to existing home audio accounts and installing dealer networks, distributors. Travel is required as this individual will attend major trade shows and periodic regional events as well as support onsite meetings with customers and industry partners.
Essential Functions
  • Deliver home audio sales results and primarily support efforts related to Home Audio sales
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase market share and profits
  • Meet or exceed sales objectives while maintaining acceptable gross margins
  • Establish and execute sales plans and sales promotions
  • Work closely with business partners to develop new programs for retail and consumer use
  • Leverage product knowledge to create sales strategies attractive to potential dealers and home audio reps.
  • Develop, maintain and share Garmin/JL Audio elevated product and pricing knowledge with dealers and home audio reps.
  • Deliver training seminars to dealer network and coordinate associated training activities with little to no supervision, exercising independent judgement as to how best to meet the individual training needs of the specific customer
  • Remain current on Home Audio industries and technology trends
  • Develop a strong rapport with the team to support the home audio segments goals which can include working outside of typical territory and or/accounts such as for shows, events, open houses and trainings
  • Manage large accounts with excellent project skills including distribution and national retailers
  • Create and make sales presentations to prospects and existing accounts
  • Prepare and maintain monthly sales forecasts
  • Communicate market requirements effectively to product development teams
  • Attend, coordinate, and lead trade shows which could include rep groups.
  • Travel with little or no supervision which can include immediate territory or any other territory based on team needs

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND a minimum of 3 years of experience in home audio sales and marketing (including outside sales, retail sales, technical sales or sales into a retail environment) with a proven track record in meeting sales targets OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Must demonstrate proven track record of sales successes
  • Possess strong knowledge of home audio market
  • Strong understanding of technical aspects of home audio components
  • Strong relationships with Home Audio dealers, distributors and integrators
  • Strong presentation skills for Home Audio products
  • Demonstrates a customer service focus with proven experience in relationship building and providing quality customer service experiences
  • Exceptional communication oral/written and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality
  • Must be an articulate and fluent communicator, written and verbal, and at ease with public speaking
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
  • Must possess the ability to maintain flexibility to travel (up to 75% of time or greater) and travel flexes with the season

Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in managing retail, distribution channels and/or dealer networks
  • Business to Business sales experience
  • Experience in audio markets and product knowledge
  • Excellent product knowledge of JL Home Audio Solutions
  • Demonstrates initiative in suggesting and executing individual, team, and strategic objectives
  • Home audio certifications such as CTS-D, CEDIA, Dante, THX
