Shamblott Family Dentistry is looking for a Dental Assistant in St. Paul, MN to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.

Position Overview:
As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Support our mission to providing excellent dental care in the community and help us create more smiles and memorable experiences.   • Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
  • Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
  • Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications:

  • One or more on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
  • Licensed Dental Assistant, REQUIRED
  • X-Ray certification, REQUIRED
  • Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
