Join a dynamic team of leading professionals dedicated to coordination of all admission processes and serving as clinical liaison to community referral sources, physicians referrals, families, and individuals in the growing career of behavioral health at our new hospital, Granite Hills Hospital. Expand your skill set, become a professional change maker, in a fast-paced, service oriented Intake and Admissions Department.

We are looking for looking for an Intake Coordinator to join the Intake Department!

The Intake Coordinator is accountable for coordinating the Assessment and Referral activities at the facility.   This position involves extensive contact with the community and interfaces closely with the Director, utilization review staff, Granite Hill Hospital business office staff and clinical staff to insure continuity of communication.  This position is also responsible for inquiry calls, insurance verification, payment collections at the time of admission and scheduling of evaluations and admissions.

Responsibilities include: Working with a team of Intake/Admission professionals to clinically assess potential patients, verifying insurance, medically triaging patients, completing assessments, entering calls and admissions into computer as well as documentation, staffing clinical with physician, and completing paperwork and process through to possible admission. Following all regulatory requirements, facility policies and procedure, as well as culture based on service excellence.


Qualifications

Education: High school diploma.  Prefer some college or equivalent experience in a health care related field.

Experience:  Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a customer-service field, preferably in a health care setting.  Demonstrated knowledge of computer skills and demonstrated knowledge of customer service principles.

Additional Requirements:  CPR and CPI training as outlined in New Hire Policy must be completed before providing direct care services. 

Additional Skills:  Ability to communicate over the telephone and in face-to-face situations.  Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.  Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all information.
