We are looking for a Commercial Insurance Broker (Client Service Manager) to join our Commercial Team in our Brossard Office!

As a Client Service Manager, you will be responsible to provide support to our Producers and service their clients.  This position will also provide, where required, exemplary service and products to new and existing clients by building and fostering strong relationships with insurers and other industry service providers.

Your day as a Client Service Manager

  • Proactively manage a volume of business by reviewing a client's risk and claims history as well as providing coverage and solutions accordingly.
  • Ensure maximum retention of existing clients by providing exceptional service through regular communication with clients.
  • Respond to phone calls and written inquiries from clients and underwriters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support the Client Executive in the growth of business volume.
  • Determine the needs of potential clients by researching and utilizing appropriate resources.
  • Review policy wordings and other documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain an extensive network of market relationships.
  • Coordinate the preparation of underwriting submissions; maintain relevant account documentation and correspondence.
  • Maintain renewal lists, records, and files for policies so that they are organized and up to date.
  • Request and follow up on missing information, endorsements, and policy documents from insurers.
  • Follow up with underwriters, broker, and clients on outstanding issues/files.
  • Implement appropriate claims administration and loss prevention procedures.
  • Work with the Accounting Department to resolve accounting discrepancies and related issues.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required.

Our ideal candidate

  • University degree in business or finance or a DEC in Insurance and financial services.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance brokerage.
  • Insurance broker's license issued by the AMF.
  • Knowledge of Chubb, Intact, Aviva, L’Unique, and Economical Portal Systems is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of various markets and their policy wordings.
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and in English as the candidate will be required to interact in English with colleagues and clients.
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
