We are actively hiring for a Business Solutions Analyst III (Guidewire Experience Required) - Remote!

Your Role:

This role works directly with stakeholders to define, document, and drive business requirements for technology and process changes.

This role is responsible for owning business requirements analysis and definition/documentation, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and managing requirements through the product lifecycle, including UAT testing support.

Under limited supervision, this role formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. This role is expected to apply knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques to ensure solutions meet business needs.

Role partners closely with individuals in the business as well as IT.

Your Work:

Planning and Monitoring

  • Maintain a standardized approach to key responsibilities in alignment with enterprise best -practices; monitor the execution of business analysis activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and interested party needs.
  • Utilize appropriate methods for gathering and documenting requirements; and communicating scheduling and timelines to project/program manager for overall project plan.

Requirements Elicitation and Analysis

  • Support stake-holder engagement efforts (e.g., interviews, workshops) to elicit business and data requirements. Partners closely with business stake-holders and subject matter experts to understand business context - problem, current state, desired future state, objectives, business needs and impacted user groups.

Requirements Documentation & Management

  • Under limited supervision, document business requirements, using the appropriate technique (i.e., customer journeys, business context diagram, process flows, use case model, conceptual data models, SMART requirements)
  • Translate business requirements into functional design specifications.
  • With guidance, identifies key data inputs and required flows across multiple systems in alignment with data center of excellence expectations.
  • As needed, in collaboration with SMEs, create current and future state system process journey maps, considering system flows and data streams.
  • With some leadership support, manage the requirements throughout the project lifecycle, facilitating validation, prioritization, approval, and traceability (from initiation through delivery).
  • Manage requirements change process, ensuring that changes are properly communicated, documented and assessed for impact and risk.
  • Partner with data experts in center of excellence to validate feasibility of proposals.
  • With business stake-holder, facilitate requirements review and obtain approval, if needed. Ensure shared understanding of requirements across business and IT partners.

Support Testing

  • Prepare business validation (UAT) plan.
  • Plans, manages and may complete testing of application, system and/or process changes/upgrades at key phases of development, including writing test plans, developing test cases with expected results, and scheduling tests in concert with testing leads in IT.
  • Partners with data group to execute testing of process for data components.
  • Support business users in performing business validation.
  • Review test results and support issues resolution in alignment with business stake-holders.

Required Experience, Education and Skills

  • 4+ years business systems analysis experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience or BSA Certification
  • Knowledge of insurance business (e.g., Personal Lines, Commercial Auto and Claims, Operations)
  • Proficient knowledge and experience using diagramming techniques tools (e.g., UML, Visio, Lucidchart, draw.io, iGrafx, Miro
  • Guidewire, Pricing tools.
  • Knowledge of structure testing methodology, project lifecycle methodologies, SDLC and project management practices.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of a group of interrelated systems and their business functions insurance systems and pricing algorithms
  • Understands the software development approach being used and define how the requirements development will be conducted (e.g., elicitation, analysis, specification and validation)
  • User level knowledge of all systems utilized by division/team
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies
  • Ability to develop an understanding of data relationships among various systems within assigned functional area
  • Knowledge of data produced by systems, its uses, sources and meaning for decisions. Ability to run queries across platforms and provide analytics on the results
  • Strong collaboration skills across divisions and functions, including end users, developers, testers, and analysts.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to translate business needs into formal requirements that can be understood by IT partners
  • Able to communicate basic training expectations for testing
  • Demonstrated learning agility to adapt to evolving technology needs

The national average salary range for this position is $89,865.00-$99,850.00. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on work location. The starting pay range for this position across all the states we hire in is $89,865.00-$119,800.00. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 8% of eligible pay.This job posting will be unposted on Tue, 16 Jun 2026.
