About This Role

As a Commercial Insurance Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met with expert advice and exceptional service. This role involves handling renewals, addressing client inquiries, marketing accounts to insurers, and supporting new business opportunities through referrals. It's a dynamic position suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.


What You'll Do

  • Managing and servicing commercial accounts
  • Reviewing renewals with clients, providing coverage recommendations
  • Assisting clients with their day-to-day inquiries
  • Opportunities to write New Business through referrals
  • Marketing existing accounts to insurance companies
  • Developing insurance market knowledge in order to know where a risk will fit
  • Understand wordings and coverages to be able to compare insurance policies and quotes


What We're Looking For

  • RIBO license
  • Knowledge in Commercial Property & Casualty, Commercial Auto, and Farm Insurance
  • Completed, enrolled or interested in the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses would be an asset
  • Strong communication skills with confidence in customer-facing conversations
  • Previous customer service or sales experience
  • Enjoys talking to people and building relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid G-class driver's license
  • Collaborative mindset with enthusiasm for teamwork
  • Experience with CRM systems or lead management platforms is an asset


Work Environment & Schedule

  • In-office
  • Monday-Friday schedule (8:30am-4:30pm) with early Friday closures during long weekends (May-October)
  • Collaborative in-person team environment

Expected Compensation

The expected hiring range for this role is $55,000 to $85,000 per year. The actual offered salary will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity.
