Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: San Antonio, Texas (On-site)

Job Type: Full-Time

Industry: Insurance Technology / Software Development

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our on-site team in San Antonio. This role is critical in bridging the gap between our end users and offshore development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software systems, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to handle support-related interactions directly with users.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather and analyze business requirements to translate into functional specifications for system enhancements and fixes

Act as a liaison between stakeholders and offshore development teams to ensure clarity and alignment on technical solutions

Create user stories, workflows, process diagrams, and system documentation to support development and QA efforts

Conduct functional and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate deliverables

Identify and recommend opportunities for product and process improvement based on support trends and user feedback

Prioritize incoming issues and requests

Assist with training material development and user education as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

4+ years of experience in business analysis, technical support, or a similar role in a software development environment

Proven experience communicating effectively between business users and development teams

Experience working with offshore teams and navigating time zone differences

Strong analytical and documentation skills

Knowledge of the insurance claims or adjusting industry is a plus

Comfortable handling and resolving customer support phone calls
