Job description

Job Summary: The Certified HVAC Technician is responsible for installation, maintenance, calibrations, overhaul, service and repair for HVAC systems in the facility.

Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:

  1. Reads blueprints, interprets Manufacturers' specifications, written and verbal instructions for the maintenance and repair of air conditioning systems.

  2. Maintains an awareness of the sensitive and critical uses for the HVAC system being worked on.

  3. Performs preventive maintenance on air-conditioning and ventilation systems to maintain air at a specified temperature and humidity. Work orders are completed promptly and accurately.

  4. Responsible for troubleshooting, inspecting, calibrating, adjusting, lubricating and repairing or replacing components as necessary.

  5. Maintains records to ensure compliance with local, state, federal and accrediting organization regulations and standards.

  6. Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality.

  7. Maintains equipment inventory, submit requisitions, and communicate with vendors and contractors as required.

  8. Operates and maintains facility HVAC systems and equipment, to include but not limited to: AHU's, fan coil units, split systems, humidifiers, exhaust fans, VAV boxes, DX units, Liebert units, and all associated equipment and controls.
