What is insurance software?

Insurance software refers to specialized digital applications designed to help insurance companies manage their operations more efficiently. These tools can handle a range of tasks, including policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, billing, customer relationship management, and regulatory compliance. By automating routine processes, insurance software reduces manual errors and streamlines workflow. Many solutions also include analytics and reporting features to help insurers make data-driven decisions and improve customer service.

The Role
We are seeking a proven sales leader to accelerate the adoption, expansion, and commercial success of our Automobile Physical Damage (APD) solutions portfolio-driving innovation in how insurers, fleets, and service providers manage vehicle damage assessment, repair, and claims processes. As a recognized leader in APD solutions, our platform is well-established and trusted across the industry, offering a strong foundation for continued growth and innovation.
Reporting directly to the GVP of Growth, you will own the commercial growth strategy for APD solutions, execute go-to-market plans, influence product direction, and deliver measurable revenue, adoption, and client value in the evolving world of APD insurance technology.
This role sits at the intersection of claims innovation, automotive expertise, and client partnership, requiring deep knowledge of APD workflows, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to translate market needs into scalable solutions. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, Marketing, Compliance, and Customer Success to ensure our offerings deliver measurable impact-reducing cycle times, improving accuracy, lowering costs, and elevating the customer experience for carriers and policyholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute Go-to-Market for APD Solutions
  • Drive sales and adoption of APD-focused products, including damage assessment tools, repair network management, parts sourcing, and claims workflow optimization.

  • Translate the growth strategy into targeted sales execution plans for insurers, fleet operators, TPAs, and automotive ecosystem partners, with clear account priorities, pipeline targets, and market coverage plans.

  • Partner with Marketing to create compelling messaging, case studies, and campaigns that highlight our ability to reduce costs, shorten repair times, improve repair accuracy, and deliver stronger claim outcomes.

Deliver Commercial Outcomes
  • Own revenue and adoption targets for assigned APD products and solutions.

  • Identify whitespace opportunities across APD claim processing, repair operations, and loss mitigation strategies.

  • Manage a disciplined pipeline, ensuring forecasting accuracy, deal progression, executive-level negotiation, and consistent execution against revenue commitments.

  • Lead complex, consultative enterprise sales cycles and partner with account teams to expand APD adoption across existing and prospective clients.

  • Use market intelligence, competitive insights, and client feedback to identify new growth opportunities and strengthen the APD value proposition.

Elevate Client Partnerships
  • Build and expand executive-level relationships with carriers, repair network leaders, and auto service providers.

  • Position our APD solutions as strategic enablers for operational efficiency, improved customer satisfaction, and better claim outcomes.

  • Partner with Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding, integration, and expansion of APD product adoption.

Drive Internal Alignment
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to align product development with market needs and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with enablement teams to equip the sales organization with APD-specific product training, competitive positioning, and objection handling.

Build and Lead a High-Performance Team
  • Responsible for cultivating a high-performance, purpose-driven culture that empowers teams, drives accountability, and fosters continuous growth.

  • Build, train, and scale the APD product selling team over time, defining clear roles, responsibilities, expectations, and success measures.

  • Build a strong leadership bench through hiring, onboarding, coaching, and succession planning.

  • Operate as a hands-on, player-coach leader who can directly support strategic pursuits while building repeatable sales motions and team capability.

What Success Looks Like
  • Establish a clear APD growth strategy, including priority markets, target accounts, revenue goals, and expansion opportunities.

  • Build a disciplined pipeline and operating cadence that improves forecast accuracy, deal velocity, and executive visibility into progress.

  • Strengthen partnership with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and account teams to align market feedback, roadmap priorities, sales enablement, and client outcomes.

  • Scale the APD product sales motion by building repeatable messaging, competitive positioning, and team capability.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience leading enterprise software, insurance technology, or automotive claims commercial organizations with a demonstrated history of exceeding revenue growth targets.
  • 3+ years of people leadership managing high-performing product sales, overlay sales, specialist sales, or solution consulting teams within complex enterprise sales organizations.
  • Proven success operating in a matrix sales environment, partnering closely with account executives, customer success, product management, marketing, and executive leadership to drive pipeline growth and customer adoption.
  • Deep understanding of Auto Physical Damage (APD) claims, repair workflows, collision repair operations, or adjacent insurance claims processes. Experience selling into P&C insurance carriers is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead consultative value-based sales engagements, including executive discovery, business case development, solution positioning, commercial negotiations, and strategic account planning.
  • Experience selling to and influencing executive stakeholders (VP through C-suite) within insurance carriers, automotive ecosystem partners, or enterprise software customers.
  • Track record of partnering with Product and Engineering to influence product strategy, customer feedback loops, go-to-market planning, and successful commercialization of new capabilities.
  • Experience building and scaling specialist sales organizations, including hiring, coaching, territory planning, forecasting, sales enablement, and performance management.
  • Strong analytical and operational discipline with experience managing pipeline health, forecast accuracy, KPI-driven execution, and sales operating rhythms.
  • Exceptional communication, executive presence, and cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling APD, claims, estimating, repair, telematics, AI, or workflow automation solutions into Tier 1 P&C insurance carriers.
  • Existing relationships with claims, operations, or digital transformation executives across the insurance industry.
  • Experience commercializing AI-enabled, analytics, or workflow automation products.
  • MBA or equivalent business leadership experience.
