Responsibilities

Prospect for new life and commercial insurance clients through calls, networking, referrals, and community involvement.

Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects.

Conduct insurance needs analyses for individuals and businesses.

Develop customized life and commercial insurance solutions.

Prepare and present professional insurance proposals.

Close new business while meeting or exceeding monthly sales goals.

Cross-sell life and commercial products to existing personal lines clients.

Develop referral relationships with business owners, lenders, accountants, real estate professionals, and other centers of influence.

Follow up consistently on quotes, referrals, and sales opportunities.

Maintain accurate client records and sales activities in the agency CRM.

Stay current on carrier products, underwriting guidelines, and industry changes.

Collaborate with agency team members to identify cross-selling opportunities.

Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.

Attend training sessions, networking events, and agency meetings.

Maintain all required insurance licenses and continuing education.

Represent Clinton Alford Insurance Agency with professionalism and integrity.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred).

Active California Property Casualty license or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.

California Life Health license or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.

Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.

Ability to pass a background check as required by the Department of Insurance.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and CRM software.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced office.

Previous insurance sales experience.

Commercial insurance sales experience.

Knowledge of agency management systems and CRMs (AgencyZoom experience is a plus).

Experience with consultative sales techniques.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
